Sunoak & John Engaged

When a couple and I are deciding where we should have their engagement portraits, I always ask if there is a place that's meaningful to them and usually they have a place in mind.  For example, Leyla and Ian who I shot back in April wanted to have theirs at a park near their apartment in West Harlem because they go there often to take a walk and relax.

For Sunoak and John, 10th street and 2nd avenue was meaningful to them because that's where John proposed to Sunoak.  So we started there and walked up to Union Square. It was a great area for a shoot and it was fun hunting for an interesting background to shoot in front of.
