It started out as a personal project that grew into something bigger. We wanted to tell the story of Brooklyn and interesting women who were living there doing great things. I was able to set the visual aesthetic and tone of the site with the first stories that were published.
The first 20 features that I was a part of lived on a Tumblr site, and then we crowdfunded our first print issue that went out to stores all over the world. It's current iteration is a website that has many contributors and tells stories from all over the country, not just Brooklyn.
